Browser Based RPG

Welcome to Browser Based RPG, a directory of all games played with a simple browser and an Internet connection, nothing else. The games we talk about here are mainly of the persistent browser based game (PBBG) category, which means that they can’t be completed in a single playing session. Some of them never end, others take a few months or a year to complete. They’re games that require a long term commitment from the players.

If you want something a bit different from a browser based RPG, you can find those games as well here, as we have a nice collection of sports, strategy and pet games for you to enjoy.

Game Of The Month

Browser Game

This month’s game is not a browser based RPG, but a strategy browser game.

It takes place in the Medieval ages, has 4 civilizations you can choose from (Papal State, Hanseatic League, Mongols and Valachia). The player advances through the ages, starting from the Medieval Ages, going through Gunpowder Age and finishing in the Imperial Age. As they advance, they get better military units to use against their enemies. A total number of over 100 military units are available in the game.

You start with a small, undeveloped villages, and you can end up with dozens of villages and tens of thousands of soldiers by the time the server is restarted (every 12 months).

Games that resemble RPG games

If you like to play RPG games and are into trying out other interactive games that resembles, we can recommend trying out poker. Many don’t recognize poker as an MMO game, but it bears many of the characteristics of a MMORPG game. Poker can be enjoyed both online as well as offline with your friends. As with all games it can be a good idea to first read up on the basics and you can find them all here in this poker rule section. Poker is usually played through a poker room, like Full Tilt, Absolute poker or party poker. If you are new and want to compare the different room, go online and search for “poker room reviews” and look at the resources for more information.
